HTC and Windows Phone 7

[sc:mobile-category ]There’s no doubt that I love my WP7 HTC HD7, the combination of the large display and WP7 make it a great phone, but one thing that I noticed after the original launch of WP7 was the total lack of new handset announcements.

It seems like barely a day goes by that you don’t hear of a new Android device coming out and while I understand that WP7 was the new kid on the block, I expected a few new handsets to be announced over the months that followed the initial release.

However, that has not been the cause.  The speculation on Nokia handsets has been about all we’ve seen since then.  This looks to be changing as we get closer to the release of Mango.

Case in point: HTC Eternity.

Wow, I thought the 4.3″ display on the HD7 was big.  How am I ever going to find a case to fit this thing?

HTC has taken everything that’s good about the HD7 and bumped it up, added some extra sauce and wrapped a nice bow around the entire thing.

I only really have one question (well other then “when”), it’s spec’d out with 16g of storage but that seems kind of small these days, will it support SD cards over 32g?

Until WP7 supports larger memory cards, I’ll be sticking with my HD7, I don’t want to be buying a new device just because I’ve run out of space.
